How to register a new domain name and purchase hosting.

Open the Domain name search tool by clicking here. In the box, type the domain name that you wish to register. Next select all the domain extensions that you wish to check for availability. Select as many as you like you can decide later which ones you wish to keep. The domain extensions do have a meaning but these are not generally stuck to.
.com is a commercial site
.net for networks but is used by many people when the domain-name.com is unavailable.
.org is used by organisations generally non-profit
.biz is a relatively new extension designed for businesses
.info is also a relatively new domain extension designed for general use
Clicking the Popular TLD’s box will select all the popular domain extensions for the search.
Click on the search button to search for your requested domain name. In a few seconds the results appear. There are four possible outcomes of your search.

1. Domain Name is available. Select any domains you wish to purchase and click on the add to cart button.

2. Unavailable Domains Name. Someone else has already registered the listed domain names. If you are the owner of any of the domain names you may select the domain name and have it transferred to us. If you would like to know who owns the unavailable domain names you may click on the “whois info” to link beside the domain name.

3. The domain is taken and not available for transfer. The owners of these domains have locked the domains from being transferred. If any of these domains are yours and you wish to transfer them please contact you current domain registrar and ask to have the domain made available for transfer. Information on the owners of the domains is available by clicking on the “whois info” link beside the domain.

4. The domain name contained an error. Common errors are that the domains first or last character was a “-“ or other disallowed character in these positions, the domain is too short - it must be at least 3 characters long or the domain is too long - max length is 64 characters.

If there are no available domains please start over with a new name until you find one which you like. You may also try adding a hyphen between words or adding words like online or ltd to the name.

If you have successfully found an available domain name and highlighted it by clicking in the checkbox, press the add to cart button to continue. After adding to cart you’ll be shown your shopping cart. Here you can select the number of years you wish to register the domain for. The Default is 2 years. The next option is to select the hosting package you require. A link to the contents of all the packages is available near the end of the page if you wish to take another look at them. At this time you have two options continue onto purchase or click on the domain search tab and search for additional domains to register, which you can add to the cart so that you can purchase them all at once. If you have any domains in your cart, which you do not wish to purchase, you may delete them by clicking in the checkbox and pressing the “del” link beside it.

If you have made any changes to your cart be sure to press the “update cart” button. Once you have completed your shopping its time to move to the checkout. To do this simply press the “go to checkout” button in your cart. At the top of the next page you will see the items you are about to purchase, check that these are correct. Below here you should fill in your details ensuing that all details with a red star are filled in correctly, especially the e-mail as this will be used as your contact address for the domain name and you will not have control over the domain name unless you are contactable at this e-mail address. Once your details are complete press the “continue” button.

You will then be shown all the details of the order if any part is incorrect please use the back button on your browser to go back and correct it. If all the details are correct you may proceed to payment by credit card by pressing the pay by credit card button at the end of the page. You will be taken to the Worldpay payment site to ensure a secure transaction. Fill in your credit card details to complete the order.

Advanced Search

To access advanced search page click here and then click the advanced search tab near the top of the screen. If you cannot find an available domain name you can use the advanced search to create names similar to your original, preferred, domain name.
Start by entering a word in each of the boxes, A and B, which you wish to appear in your domain name. Next you can choose to select a category of words to feature in your domain name e.g. clever words, fast words. You can choose to insert a hyphen between words A and B or to change the order of the words (flip flop) A and B by ticking the check boxes beside each option. By ticking the next box you can opt to hide any taken domain names, which means only names available for sale or transfer will be shown. The final option is to select your preferred domain extensions and then click on the search button.
The next page shows the results. Tick all the checkboxes of the domains that you wish to purchase and then press the add to cart button.
If you did not find any suitable domain names try altering the category of words or either of the words A or B until you find a suitable domain name.

Hosting Only

To access the hosting only page click here and then click the hosting only tab near the top of the screen. This option allows you to purchase hosting and not transfer your domain name over to us. This means you still pay your domain name registration fees to your current registrar. In order for us to host your site you must have your registrar update the domains DNS settings to the ones listed below. This option may also be used if you wish to only renew your hosting and you do need to extend your domain name at this time as it is still adequately registered.

Transfer Domain

To access the transfer domain page click here and then click the transfer domain tab near the top of the screen. To transfer your domain name to us write your domain name in the box including the extension (your-domain-name.com) and click on the transfer button (please note at this time it is only possible to transfer .com .net and .org domains). If the domain name is available for transfer highlight the check box and then click add to cart. Please make sure that the domain being transferred is owned by you and that the registrant's e-mail address can receive a transfer request e-mail in order for the transfer to succeed.
Two other conditions is that the domain must be at least 60 days old and that it must be not due to expire within the next 2 weeks.

Soon after you have completed this you will receive an email (at the e-mail address which is registered as the contact for the domain name) confirming that the request has been received. After you approve the request via email, by replying, the transfer process will begin. The current registrar has the ability to reject a domain name transfer request in the following situations:
There is a dispute over the domain name
The domain name have expired
There is a pending bankruptcy of the domain name holder
There is a dispute over the identity of the domain name holder
The transfer request was initiated within the first 60 days of the original registration date.
The email Address for the Admin Contact is Inactive, Invalid or Rejecting the transfer.
The current registrar may also reject the transfer for no apparent reason. If this is the case, please contact the current registrar for an explanation.
If the transfer is not rejected, the domain will be transferred to us and registration will be extended by one year. We will take care of the DNS settings. The whole process can take between 2 to 4 weeks to complete. In order avoid any downtime of your website you should upload your site on Webloud and then ask to current registrar to change the DNS settings to Webloud. do this as soon as possible after applying to transfer your domain to Webloud to ensure there is no downtime. Webloud DNS settings can be found at the end of this page.
